About:
The Aushui Tank includes 3 different styles which can be mixed and matched. This close-fitting top is designed to fall to the high hip which gives the wearer a polished look. The square neckline and wide straps cover undergarment straps for worry-free wearing.
View A is the simplest tank to sew and would be a great “first knits” project. It has a solid front and regular hem.
View B features a regular hem with buttoned front. If you’ve been intimidated by buttons in the past then this style is for you. Just follow our easy tutorial to sew buttons and buttonholes with two simple zig zag stitches!
View C includes a buttoned front and tie hem. You can choose to tie the front high or low to adjust the length of the tank.
Difficulty: Beginner
Techniques Involved: Sewing knit fabric, topstitching, sewing straps, hemming knit fabric, sewing a facing, sewing buttons and buttonholes (optional). If buttons frighten you, check out our Sewing Buttons and Buttonholes Correctly tutorial.
All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
This pattern is designed for light to medium weight knit fabrics and requires at least 20% crosswise stretch. Pique, Tricot, Jersey, Interlock, and Rayon Spandex are just a few great options.
