This pattern is designed for knit fabric with at least 25% stretch.
Sleeve Options- Choose between short tulip sleeves or sleeveless.
For the sleeveless option, you can finish the edge with a binding or a band.
Neckline Options- The neckline is a pointed scoop neck and you can finish the edge with a binding or a band.
Pockets– Optionally, you can add side-seam pockets.
There are three styles included, a solid colored front and back with an even hem, a color blocked front and back with asymmetric hem, and a color blocked front and back with a straight hem.
The Fairytale Frock is designed for a height of 5’6” (167.6cm). It has a length that falls to the knee.

Techniques Involved: Sewing with knit fabric, sewing knit binding, sewing knit bands (optional), topstitching, sewing seam pockets (optional), and hemming curved edges.
All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
This pattern is designed for light to medium weight knit fabrics and requires at least 25% crosswise stretch. Pique, Tricot, Jersey, Interlock, and Rayon Spandex are just a few great options.
Notions:
To stabilize the shoulder seam, you’ll need 1/4 yard of 1/4″ wide lastin, elastic, or stay tape.
