This drawstring pouch is a fun project and so great for carrying treasures around. Makeup bag? Yes! Legos, YES! Make it with a PUL liner and use over bowls instead of Saran Wrap? Oh heck yeah!
*******This pattern comes with a full video tutorial and that can be found at this link.********
Techniques Involved: creating a casing, turning, topstitching, adding a grommet, placing a drawstring
This free pattern comes with a PDF pattern printable for a 20″ wide pouch on 8.5 x 11 or A4 paper. The pattern includes 6 pages. You can also choose to cut a circle of ANY size you like without the pattern pieces and customize your drawstring pouch to your liking.
Cotton Woven or PUL are the best fabrics for this pouch. Stiffer fabrics will gather less efficiently. You will also need either a grommet or the ability to create a buttonhole. Optional notions include a cord keeper, but that is not necessary and you can tie a bow instead.
