All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
Knit or woven fabrics are both acceptable for the outer and lining of this pattern, however a medium to heavy weight is preferred. If you choose to use a lightweight fabric then you will need to add interfacing to the wrong side of the outer Cape piece, over the snap/button placement. Preferred fabrics are polyester fleece, wool, french terry, and cotton sweatshirt knit. For the pockets, a woven fabric of natural material is recommended for ease of pressing. Quilting weight cotton is perfect for the pockets.

Made one for my mom and she absolutely loves it! She can get overheated easily, so the riding hood works perfectly for her!

Love this pattern. I’ve actually made myself 2. One for wearing out and one for just sitting and watching tv.

Love this pattern! I’ve made one with plaid wool, and I’m currently making a second one with fleece lining and a houndstooth knit outer (both pullover like pictured). It’s not the easiest pattern… The pockets are difficult and make me wish for a sewing machine with a larger desk area around the needle. It’s certainly a challenge – but well worth it. I think if I end up making these for gifts I’ll leave out the pockets.

This pattern is fantastic. I get so many compliments when I wear this poncho! It was easy to follow the pattern and I love all the different options.

I really love this poncho! I made mine with crushed velvet, purple on one side and red on the other. Elegant, yet comfy! It also worked great for babywearing (front) with no modifications other than unsnapping the top few snaps!

So glad to finally have a poncho to call my own. I uses fleece lined PUL on outside and fleece lined knit on the inside and it’s been great for running errands now that we are starting the cold season and with my growing belly. I can see myself using this once baby comes. Can’t wait to make another lighter one for the sprint. Definitely got lots of complements and friends asking for one.
