The Cottage Tee is a classic tee, roomy and comfy, with some seriously awesome added options for variety. This pattern is perfect for literally everybody. The tutorial includes curvy and straight fit size charts and full step-by-step instructions with color photos.
-Crew neck, v-neck, or scoop neck options
-Muscle Tee, Cap Sleeve, Short Sleeve, Half Sleeve, and Long Sleeve options
-Cuffed or hemmed Long Sleeve
-Option to color block the bodice, sleeves, or both on the front and back.
-Crop Top
-Optional Sleeve Ruffle
-Optional Pocket
Difficulty: Beginner to Confident Beginner
Techniques Involved: Hemming, Adding a Neckband, Creating a V-Neck Neckband, Gathering, Colorblocking, Adding Cuffs, Hemming.
All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
Fabric & Notions
Suggested Fabric:
This pattern is designed for knit fabric and requires 20% stretch. For the neckbands and cuffs, a fabric with at least 5% lycra or spandex is recommended for optimal stretch and recovery.
Additional Supplies:
- Pins or Clips
- Tape Measure
- Tape or Glue (for piecing pages together)
- Paper & Fabric Scissors
- Rotary Cutter, Mat, and Acrylic Ruler (optional but encouraged)
- Matching All-Purpose Thread
- Universal Needle
- Sewing Machine with zig-zag stitch, Serger recommended.
