I was privileged enough to test the kids’ version of this pattern and loved it. I used it several times with my baby and it really came in handy in the stroller and the car. I’m hoping to find some time to make it as a rain poncho soon. I think my toddler would LOVE to go stomp around in some puddles when monsoon season hits here.

PERFECT for cold winters to keep my kids safe in their car seats! Bonus, we received compliments on my girls ponchos EVERY time we went out! Quick and easy sew, clear and easy to understand instructions.

This is the only coat my daughter wore all winter! Love that it’s a quick and easy sew, and totally safe to use in the carseat. Not having to fuss with taking a coat off and putting it back on every time she got in and out of the seat saved me so much time and frustration. I also love that you can easily tailor this to different climates by simply changing up the fabrics used.

I made this for my 3yo daughter. We live in MN and the winters are FREEZING. Bulky jackets are not safe to use in car seats so this is the perfect solution. It kept my daughter warm in and out of the car. She wore it as a jacket, has used it as a blanket, a cape, a magic carpet, a tent.. she uses it for EVERYTHING! Great pattern!

The kids’ poncho was easy to sew and has such clear instructions. My girl’s fleece poncho is perfect for cold mornings; I can pop her in and out of her car seat and not have to worry about bulky jackets as this is warm and cozy and doesn’t interfere with car seat use! So versatile, you can also make one with lightweight material for warmer days and even waterproof material for a rain poncho. How cool is that!

Safest and warmest way for your Little ones to travel. Fast, easy and so cute. As a WAHM these have been a wonderful thing in my shop. I know more kiddos are staying warm and safe. No more bulk, no more cold. Pattern can even be used to make a rain poncho. Perfect pattern for everyone’s winter collection.

This is a perfect pattern for a child who has trouble zipping their jacket at school. My daughter was premature and still has trouble with fine motor. We still work on her fine motor but now she can be independent and put her “jacket” on like all the other kids in class when I added snaps! <3

Where I live, the winter isn’t super cold, so the riding hood was perfect! I loved that I didn’t have to take it on an off when loading in the carseat and it was the perfect solution for winter babywearing. I’ll be making one every winter!

Must have if u have kids. Perfect for the car.

Such a great thing to have for the winter. I made these for all three of my boys to wear in the car. It’s so much safer to wear these in car seats than big bulky coats.

Having a carseat poncho has saved e a lot of time getting my kids in and out of the car! I don’t have to take my kids coats off when we get to the car, strap them into their car seats, and then put their coats back on when we reach our destinations any more! The poncho stays on the whole time without interfering with the five-point harness. We also got tons of compliments on them!
This pattern is super easy, and is great for a beginner!

Super easy to sew. Made on for my daughter, then had to make one for a friends daughter who has a broken arm. So soft and cozy. I even like to borrow it

Thank you so much for this great pattern. The instructions are very clear. I made this poncho for my Grandson, with a cute shoftshell fabric for the outer and a warm jersey fabric for the lining. I cut the pattern on the shoulders, so the animal pattern of the fabric does’nt appear upside down in the back :).

This pattern was excellent! Putting the poncho together was easy, even fitting the hood, which can sometimes be tricky. Being able to select the size from the PDF rather than printing off all sizes was a great bonus. Thank you!
