About:
The Cinder Skirt is like walking around legally naked. You know you’re covered, but you feel so free thanks to the two full overlapped sides. The skirt panels keep you fully covered, or as covered as you would like, while the vents allow for maximum airflow and showing off those thighs!
Cinder is a quick sew and comes in three lengths: Mini, Knee, and Maxi.
Cinder pairs perfectly with the Sage and Max tops, or even with the Boxerwear to mash into a fun skirt with shorts underneath.
Difficulty: Beginner to Confident Beginner
Techniques Involved: Hemming, Creating an Elastic Waistband, Adding a Facing, Sewing on a curve.
All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
This pattern is designed for light to medium weight woven fabric with no stretch. You will need 1 or 2” elastic for the wasitband. The cut chart lengths are for 1” elastic. You will only need one length if using 2” elastic.

Such an easy project and great summer skirt. I made a Maxi length in woven and it is so comfortable! The directions were easy to follow and it turned out great!

It’s my favourite skirt pattern right now. Very easy to follow tutorial and great result. Definitely I am gonna try all lenghts.

The design of the Cinder Skirt is perfect, with beautiful, clean finishes. There are no exposed raw edges, all the seams are enclosed. With quality finishes like this, no matter how many times you wash and wear this woven skirt, it won’t fray. I love the flowy look, and the options of mini, knee, and maxi lengths. This skirt (and pattern) is going to get lots of use!
