The Ambrosia Apron is designed for a height of 5’6” (167.6cm). It has a length that falls to the mid thigh and the princess seams provide a gentle cupping and a curve-flattering shape.
Difficulty: Intermediate
Techniques Involved: Creating fabric straps, topstitching, easing in opposite curves, sewing a pocket, adding a facing, under stitching, and hemming.
All files are PDF files that can be printed at home on Letter or A4 sized paper. Each pattern includes one file for the pattern and print-at-home pieces, and another file containing the copy shop A0 (33.1″ wide) pattern pieces. We’ve placed the pattern pieces on individual layers so you can print only the size(s) you need, saving you on paper and ink.
This apron pattern will look great from any weight woven fabric. We prefer a medium weight quilting cotton for ease of sewing. If you would like to use a knit fabric, consider stabilizing the Pocket Lining, Straps, and Tabs using mid weight fusible interfacing for durability.

This is a really flattering apron. Princess seams and pockets! Fun scrap busting and color blocking options. Makes a great gift!

I’ve made 2 of these for my Mom. She never has pockets! Lots of options and a fast sew. I made custom bias tape for the last one and planned which fabrics you’d see when you looked in the pockets!
