Totally love this little bag. I made it and have it where it’s reversible. I use it for college to carry my small things in and my sister uses it for her coloring pages and books. Thanks

This bag is super cute! I made 3 last year out of Halloween fabric for candy bags! Great stash buster project.

OMGosh, why did I have wait so long to make this bag!!
Super easy, great instructions.

I can’t understand it. The straps are confusing. In part part it says to leave open for turning and then in another part it says to join them and then it doesn’t actually tell you how to turn it right side out. Not easy to follow at all.

Hi Michelle,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble understanding the pattern! On the top of page 6 where it says to leave the straps open, it’s not for turning, on the bottom of page 6 you will sew them together. It sounds like you might have sewn the bottom of the bag together prematurely when sewing the bottom is the final step (middle of page 8). I encourage you to try again with muslin-quality fabric, you might find it’s simpler than before. If you still run into problems you can get help through the contact page here on the website. Happy Sewing!

I am with Michelle on this one. First it tells you to sew the tops shut and then the bottom. The instructions aren’t very clear how it will all turn out. And using a muslin does not answer her questions at all. Or mine. I wish there was a YouTube tutorial. I consider myself an advanced sewer and I was stumped. I wish you would do a YouTube tutorial as I could use a million of these cute bags for gifts

Hi Mary,
Using a muslin quality fabric would be fore her to give it another chance after I had already answered her question. You can take a look at a plastic bag from grocery stores, this bag is assembled the same. I took a closer look at the instructions and edited them to hopefully make the steps more clear. You can download the new instructions from your account.

This bag is exactly as described. I had some difficulty sewing through the multiple layers of fabric when closing the bottom of the bag but am very pleased with the end result.

I really love this pattern. I’ve made a stash of them for groceries and given lots as presents too. Very well designed pattern. The full lining means it’s very strong and can hold loads of heavy groceries.

I love this bag, I have made about a dozen of these bags as gifts and for myself. They are so strong and roomy and everyone I have made them for thinks they are fantastic.
