If I could give this pattern a higher rating than 5 I would! I have made enough pairs to last through washday and always reach for my Scrundies over store bought underwear. Great pattern and perfect even for a beginner 🙂

Scrundlewear is the gateway pattern… It was the first PDF pattern I ever purchased. The fit, comfort, and especially the way the pattern is presented (Clear, concise direction and photos) impressed me so much I have now bought several patterns from Stitch Upon a Time. Seriously, buy this pattern. Make all the Scrundies. You will LOVE them!

This pattern was one of my first knit patterns and I know I say this to all SUAT patterns, but I love this pattern. I made my first pair using an old shirt and they are so comfy. So much better than store bought. I really need to find the time to make more so that I can ditch the store bought underwear.

    Dear underwear,
We’ve been together for as long as I can remember, but now it’s time to part ways. The glory has long since faded and the fruit has withered from the loom. You just don’t get me anymore; you’re shifty, saggy, & frankly, you crawl up my tail. I have found someone else and I am moving on to better things. This is really for the best. I would tell you to bite me, but you already do. If you need me, I will be chillin with my new love, Scrundlewear Boy-shorts. Scrundies, for short. Before you go get yourself in a bunch as you are so prone to do, tell your buddies the bras that if they’re not careful, they will be next.
    Your ex- hostage.

Buy them, make them, wear them, repeat!

Seriously. Three new pair sew up faster than washing three pair!!

    And they’re ffaaabbbulous.

One of these days I will have spending money to get this pattern and make them. I’ve so many reviews here and on fb and am desperate to make them. So sick of store bought panties

I’ve tried making undies using other online patterns and tutorials and had just about given up, but decided to give these a go. Money well spent! Love them! I’ve just finished my first pair of boy legs and will be coming back to try the briefs too as I gradually makeover my entire underwear drawer. Thank you!

    Most comfortable underwear ever!

  41. 3 out of 5

The pattern is ok. The boyshort style ends up looking like granny panties if I don’t adjust the band size. With the suggested band size it sits in a place that folds over every time I sit down. The brief style is better except for whatever reason they always immediately go up my bum. I do prefer patterns I don’t have to make changes to but it works once I have tweaked it.

  42. 5 out of 5

This is the only underwear pattern you’ll ever need! It has super easy to understand instructions, very well constructed, and they are the most comfortable you’ll ever put on your butt! I love them, my customers love them, you’ll love them too!

I never thought I could make my own panties that would be comfortable but these are AMAZING. I love this pattern and make them all the time!

  44. 5 out of 5

These literally fit like magic. You may look at them when you’re done and question the size of your butt, but then you’ll slide into them like butter and need to make 50 more pairs!

  45. 5 out of 5

LOVE scrundies! My favorite is taking two front pieces to make a “cheeky” style. So insanely comfy and easy to make.

Scrundies are fab! You NEED this pattern. Seriously comfortable, no creepage, just an all around great fit. My favorite way to make these is with FOE legs and boxer elastic for the waist. Get them! You won’t regret it!!

    (verified owner):

The boyshorts are my favorite! So comfy! I now hoard all of my scraps so that I can make more scrundies! I can’t recommend them enough 🙂

    (verified owner):

I chose this pattern wrongly as I really wanted the fullest coverage of the Bunzies. Not to worry though, as I combined the patterns with the bum cover of the Bunzies with the boy leg from this pattern. Some Bunzies, some my combo, I made TEN pair of super comfy easy make knickers, plus another five that didn’t really work in Scrundies as they were only interlock knit and not Lycra. You REALLY do need Lycra. And YES I did the stretch test, still didn’t work. Some of them I cut the crotch off the pattern and cut 2 linings to get more out of the material, as I know this cool trick of doing the crotch where you get 2 enclosed seams. That could be offered as an option, though it does make it a bit harder it’s loads of fun. For the Scrundies method I preferred to fold the crotch flap under and stitch down to tidy it up.
I have saved loads by making my own, as my favourite similar store bought undies go for $28 EACH. For these it’s come out at $15 each for ten and it would have been $9.50 if they had all turned out. And of course less if I’d actually chosen the right pattern to start with. The more you do the cheaper it gets.
Awesome easy to follow instructions. I’m not much of an overlock sewist but this is great.
Overall, great. I could make another 15 if I could afford the material!
